Part of the mission of Conseil des Arts Prescott-Russell Arts Council is to promote arts, culture, and heritage in the region. We are proud to present the CAPRAC Student Fund Bursary of $ 750. This year 2 bursaries will be awarded. These bursaries are to be awarded to graduating students who currently live and/or attend school in the United Counties of Prescott & Russell and, will be attending a post secondary program that reflects Art, Culture or Heritage.
Example programs can be and not limited to the following: Fine Art, History, Animation, Architecture, English, French, Arts Administration, or Illustration. Bursary winners are also given the opportunity to participate in the CAPRAC board. (Please note that this is voluntary and not a condition of the bursary.)
You will be asked to submit a short letter of recommendation from a teacher or school administration staff (guidance counsellor, principal, etc.), social worker or workplace manager (not closely related). You will be asked to send proof of conditional acceptance to CAPRAC for this submission. You will receive an automatic email after submitting this form with instructions with where to email these two requirements.
In this form you will be asked to write 300 to 500 words to answer the following question: Why are Arts, Culture or Heritage important to the well being of a community and how do you propose contributing to it? Submissions will be assessed by a panel of CAPRAC board members using a rubric. The rubric will be available by request. All items must be received in order for this submission application to be considered complete.
